Overview
The Char Dham of Uttarakhand is a significant Hindu pilgrimage encompassing four sacred shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Starting from Mumbai, the journey passes through Haridwar, Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, and Rishikesh. Yamunotri is the origin of the Yamuna River, Gangotri is the source of Ganga, Kedarnath houses a Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, and Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Along the way, travelers witness Himalayan vistas, serene valleys, rivers, and spiritual aartis, making it both a spiritual and scenic experience.
